Alana told me months ago she was doing AR in the library and she needed 30 points total to get her AR trophy at the end of the year. She was already at 18 points and told me she gets 7 points per book she reads and tests on, so I figured she would reach her goal with no problem. Well imagine my surprise when I found out yesterday she only earns .5 points (yes half a point NOT seven points) per book and we only had two more days to complete the rest! Ummm we spent three hours in the library but managed to earn all her points. Found this drawing when I woke her up for school this morning. So glad we made the big effort, she is SO excited to tell her teacher and get her trophy!!
